Job Title: Database Security Expert

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Database Security Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company's databases. You will work closely with our IT team to develop and implement database security policies and procedures, as well as monitor and identify potential security threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and security, with a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest security technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive company data
• Monitor database activity and investigate any potential security breaches or threats
• Conduct regular database security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Work with the IT team to design and implement database access controls
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with data security regulations
• Stay up-to-date on the latest database security tools, technologies, and best practices
• Train and educate other team members on database security protocols and procedures
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure data protection in case of a security breach
• Troubleshoot and resolve any database security issues in a timely manner
• Continuously monitor database performance and make recommendations for improvements to ensure data security and integrity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database management and security
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
• Experience with database security tools such as encryption, access controls, and auditing
• In-depth understanding of data security regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are a plus
