Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Curriculum Specialist to join our team. The Curriculum Specialist will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our curriculum, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and relevance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, a passion for curriculum design, and a deep understanding of instructional best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to create and revise curriculum materials that align with state and national standards
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on educational trends and best practices to inform curriculum development
• Review and evaluate existing curriculum to identify areas for improvement and make necessary revisions
• Develop instructional materials, including lesson plans, activities, and assessments, that are engaging and effective for students
• Provide training and support to teachers on the implementation of the curriculum
• Collaborate with other departments, such as technology and assessment, to ensure alignment and integration of curriculum components
• Conduct regular evaluations of the curriculum and make necessary changes to improve its effectiveness
• Collaborate with external partners, such as subject-matter experts and consultants, to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of curriculum content
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on instructional strategies and curriculum design techniques

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design, preferably in a K-12 setting
• Extensive knowledge of state and national education standards and instructional best practices
• Strong understanding of curriculum design principles and techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in educational technology and instructional design software
• Passion for education and commitment to creating high-quality curriculum for students of all backgrounds and abilities
