In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and organizing data to create engaging and informative reports for our audience. As a Data Reporter, you will play a crucial role in shaping our company's data-driven approach to journalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources, including public databases, surveys, and interviews
• Analyze data using statistical methods and visualizations to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Collaborate with editors, writers, and designers to create visually appealing and interactive data-driven stories
• Stay up-to-date with current events and trends to identify potential data-driven story ideas
• Develop and maintain relationships with data experts and sources to enhance the accuracy and credibility of our reports
• Present complex data in a clear and understandable manner for our audience
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports by following established fact-checking and verification procedures
• Utilize data to uncover new angles and perspectives for stories that may not be apparent through traditional reporting methods

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, data science, statistics, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data journalism or a related role
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, and R
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work
• Passion for storytelling and using data to inform and engage audiences
