Job Title: Packaging Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Engineer to join our team. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing packaging solutions for our products. Your expertise in materials, machinery, and design will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our products to our customers. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop packaging designs that meet product specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer needs
• Conduct packaging material selection and testing to ensure product protection, durability, and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, production, and logistics to ensure packaging solutions meet all requirements
• Utilize 3D modeling software to create prototypes and mock-ups of packaging designs
• Conduct package testing, including drop, compression, and vibration tests, to ensure packaging meets industry standards
• Analyze data and develop reports to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings in packaging processes
• Develop and maintain packaging standards and guidelines for new and existing products
• Monitor industry trends and advancements in packaging materials, technology, and design to drive innovation and stay ahead of competitors
• Work closely with suppliers to source and evaluate new packaging materials and machinery
• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in packaging design and production processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging design and development
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, machinery, and testing methods
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for packaging (such as FDA or ISO) is a plus
