Position: Multimedia Journalist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Multimedia Journalist to join our dynamic team. As a Multimedia Journalist, you will be responsible for creating and producing engaging content for a variety of platforms, including print, digital, and social media. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about journalism and has a strong desire to tell impactful stories through various mediums.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and interviews to gather information for news stories
• Write and produce high-quality, accurate, and compelling content for print, digital, and social media platforms
• Use various multimedia tools, such as video, audio, and photography, to enhance storytelling and engage audiences
• Collaborate with editors, reporters, and other team members to develop and execute creative story ideas
• Stay up-to-date with current events and trends to identify potential story opportunities
• Adhere to strict deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced newsroom environment
• Monitor and analyze website and social media analytics to track audience engagement and adjust content accordingly
• Maintain strong relationships with sources and the community to build a network of reliable information
• Comply with all legal and ethical standards of journalism

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a multimedia journalism role
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail
• Proficient in multimedia tools, such as video editing software, audio recording, and photography equipment
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and how to use them to promote content
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
• Understanding of media law and ethics
• A portfolio showcasing your work is highly preferred
