Position Title: Data Tester
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Tester to join our team. As a Data Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our data systems. You will work closely with our development and data teams to perform rigorous testing and analysis to identify and resolve any issues that may arise. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive testing of data systems to identify any bugs, errors, or inconsistencies
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure all aspects of our data systems are thoroughly tested
- Collaborate with development and data teams to understand system requirements and ensure testing is aligned with project goals
- Utilize various testing tools and techniques to perform data validation, data integration, and performance testing
- Document and track all testing results and provide regular updates to the team on the status of testing activities
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them in a timely manner
- Participate in the development and maintenance of testing procedures and standards to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data systems and processes, and make recommendations for improvements
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in data testing and quality assurance to ensure our systems are in line with industry standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data testing or quality assurance
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases
- Proficient in using testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, and LoadRunner
- Experience with data validation, data integration, and performance testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines
- Knowledge of agile methodologies is a plus
