Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement database systems that meet our company's requirements and support our applications.
Maintain and optimize our existing database systems to ensure their performance, reliability, and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Monitor database performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with the development team to design and implement data models and database structures for new applications.
Work with the IT team to ensure the security and privacy of our databases.
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends and make recommendations for their implementation.
Create and maintain technical documentation for our database systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Engineer or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
Experience in database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in database programming languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
Experience with database administration and security.
Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures.
Knowledge of database monitoring and performance optimization tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Experience in cloud database technologies such as AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database is a plus.
