Job Overview: Quantum Nexus Tech College is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Academic Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them navigate their educational journey and achieve their academic goals. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our students have a fulfilling and successful academic experience. You will work closely with students, faculty, and other university departments to provide comprehensive advising services and support to our diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary academic advisor for assigned students, providing proactive and individualized advising services to ensure student success.
• Assist students in developing and implementing an academic plan that aligns with their interests, goals, and university requirements.
• Monitor students' academic progress and provide guidance on course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies.
• Identify and address any academic or personal challenges that may affect a student's academic performance or progress.
• Collaborate with faculty and other university departments to provide students with timely and accurate information on academic programs, course offerings, and university policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of university policies, procedures, and academic requirements to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
• Participate in the development and implementation of academic advising programs, workshops, and events to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student interactions and advising sessions.
• Stay current on trends and best practices in academic advising, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of advising services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in academic advising or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of higher education policies, procedures, and academic requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
