Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain our big data infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data processing pipelines
Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Optimize existing data pipelines for performance and scalability
Identify and troubleshoot data issues, and provide solutions to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive data
Monitor and maintain the health and performance of our big data systems
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate advanced analytics and machine learning models into our data pipelines
Stay updated with the latest technologies and tools in the big data space and make recommendations for their implementation
Document and communicate technical specifications and solutions to team members and stakeholders

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Proven experience as a Big Data Engineer or in a similar role
Strong proficiency with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Hive
Knowledge of database systems and SQL
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
