Job Title: Sawmill Production Supervisor

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sawmill Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Sawmill Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process at our sawmill facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring that production targets are met within the specified time frame
• Supervise and train a team of sawmill operators, ensuring that all employees adhere to safety procedures and production standards
• Monitor and maintain production equipment, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that may arise
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials and processes
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all products meet the required standards
• Maintain accurate production records and report any production delays or issues to upper management
• Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and productivity
• Ensure that all employees are following company policies and procedures, and address any performance or behavior issues as needed
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and implement best practices to enhance production processes

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sawmill or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of production processes and equipment
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other production software
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
