Location: Erbil, Iraq

About the Role: As a Supermarkets Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the supermarket department within our store. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers have a seamless shopping experience and that our department meets sales and profit goals. You will also be responsible for managing a team of supermarket employees and ensuring that they are trained, motivated, and working efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the supermarket department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising products
• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability within the department
• Monitor and analyze department performance, including sales, expenses, and inventory levels
• Train, supervise, and schedule supermarket department staff, ensuring that they are providing exceptional customer service and following all company policies and procedures
• Create and maintain attractive displays and ensure that all products are properly labeled and priced
• Collaborate with other department managers to ensure that the store is meeting overall sales goals and providing a positive shopping experience for customers
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the supermarket department
• Identify and address any operational or personnel issues within the department in a timely and effective manner
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for new products or processes that could improve department performance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within a supermarket or retail environment
• Strong knowledge of supermarket operations, including ordering, inventory management, and merchandising
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience in maintaining compliance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
