Position: Infrastructure Engineer
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our company's operations. This is a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems, and requires a strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, networking, and security principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design infrastructure solutions to meet those needs
- Perform system and network monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure high availability and performance
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Manage and maintain virtualized environments, including VMware and Hyper-V
- Configure and maintain network switches, routers, and firewalls
- Conduct periodic security audits and implement necessary updates and patches
- Monitor and analyze system performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in infrastructure engineering and recommend new technologies and processes to enhance efficiency and security
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure architecture, networking, and security principles
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficient in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Experience with network switches, routers, and firewalls
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, or VCP are a plus.
