Mail Sorter

The Mail Sorter will primarily work in a warehouse or office setting. The position may require standing for extended periods of time and lifting heavy items. The Mail Sorter may also need to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet mail delivery deadlines.

Position: Mail Sorter

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mail Sorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Mail Sorter will be responsible for sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, as well as assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail accurately and efficiently
• Prepare mail for delivery by sorting, batching, and labeling according to destination and type
• Operate sorting and postage machines, as well as other office equipment
• Maintain and update records of mail distribution and postage usage
• Identify and report any postage or mail discrepancies or errors
• Assist with other administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and copying as needed
• Adhere to all safety and security procedures while handling confidential and sensitive information
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in using office equipment and computer software
• Knowledge of postal regulations and sorting procedures is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
