Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver daily news broadcasts, including live coverage, on-air interviews, and breaking news updates
Conduct in-depth research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of news stories
Write and edit news scripts, ensuring they are clear, concise, and engaging for viewers
Collaborate with producers, reporters, and other team members to develop story ideas and angles
Monitor news sources and stay informed about current events and trends
Engage with viewers through social media platforms and respond to their questions and comments
Conduct interviews with newsmakers and experts, both in-studio and on-location
Adhere to strict deadlines and maintain composure under pressure
Participate in editorial meetings and provide input on news coverage and story selection
Attend and cover events, both locally and nationally, as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a news anchor or reporter
Strong on-camera presence and excellent public speaking skills
Proficient in news writing and reporting techniques
Knowledge of current events and issues, both locally and globally
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Familiarity with broadcast equipment and technology
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
A strong sense of ethics and integrity
