Job Description: As a Dispatcher at HaulItAll Trucking Services, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the movement of our vehicles to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods and services. You will be the main point of contact for our drivers and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and respond to incoming calls from drivers and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and other inquiries
• Monitor and track the location and status of all vehicles using dispatch software and GPS systems
• Assign routes and schedules to drivers based on delivery requirements and driver availability
• Communicate with drivers to provide necessary information and instructions for successful deliveries
• Monitor driver performance and provide coaching and feedback when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including route changes, delays, and customer complaints
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and customer service, to ensure efficient operations
• Continuously monitor traffic and weather conditions to plan and adjust routes accordingly
• Respond to emergencies and provide support to drivers in case of accidents or breakdowns
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dispatcher in the transportation industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficient in using dispatch software and GPS systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations
