Job Title: MongoDB Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MongoDB Developer to join our dynamic team. As a MongoDB Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's MongoDB databases. You will work closely with our team of developers, data scientists, and business analysts to ensure the efficient and effective management of our data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop MongoDB databases, collections, and indexes to support our applications and business needs
- Optimize and troubleshoot database performance, ensuring high availability and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
- Develop and maintain data migration scripts and procedures to transfer data from existing databases to MongoDB
- Monitor database usage, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to improve performance and efficiency
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing and enforcing best practices for data backup, disaster recovery, and access control
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in MongoDB and database technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to fellow developers and team members on MongoDB-related issues
- Document database design, changes, and processes for reference and future use
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MongoDB database development and administration
- Proficient in MongoDB query language, data modeling, and schema design
- Strong understanding of database principles and performance optimization techniques
- Experience with MongoDB tools such as Compass, Ops Manager, and Cloud Manager
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
