Job Title: Retail Buyer

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Retail Buyer to join our team. As a Retail Buyer, you will work closely with the Merchandising and Sales teams to source and purchase products for our retail stores. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and excellent negotiation skills. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for retail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze consumer trends, market demands, and competitor strategies to identify potential products and opportunities for growth
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Collaborate with the Merchandising team to build and maintain a diverse and profitable product assortment that aligns with the company's brand and target market
• Monitor inventory levels and sales data to make informed buying decisions and manage inventory levels effectively
• Continuously review and analyze product performance to identify areas for improvement and make adjustments to maximize sales and profitability
• Travel to trade shows, industry events, and vendor meetings to stay updated on market trends and build relationships with potential vendors
• Work closely with the Sales team to understand customer needs and preferences and incorporate feedback into buying decisions
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's sales goals, budget, and profitability targets
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and execute promotions and sales strategies to drive product sales and meet revenue targets
• Stay updated on industry and market trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences to inform buying decisions and improve overall performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Retail Buyer or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of retail operations, consumer behavior, and market trends
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proven track record of successfully building and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
• Willingness to travel for trade shows, vendor meetings, and other industry events
• Passion for retail and a keen eye for product selection
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
