Nova Polytechnic School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Advisor to join our team. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to students in their academic journey. You will be responsible for assisting students in making informed decisions about their academic and career goals, as well as providing resources and support to help them achieve those goals.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with students to provide personalized academic advising.
• Assist students in developing academic plans that align with their interests, abilities, and career goals.
• Monitor and track students' academic progress, identify areas of improvement, and provide appropriate support and resources.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure that students receive accurate and timely information regarding academic policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Conduct individual and group advising sessions to assist students in course selection, major exploration, and career planning.
• Stay updated on changes in academic programs, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
• Participate in orientation programs and other campus events to provide academic advising and support to new and current students.
• Serve as a liaison between students and other campus resources, such as financial aid, disability services, and career services.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records of student interactions and academic progress.
• Assist in the development and implementation of academic support programs and initiatives to enhance student success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in academic advising or related field.
• Knowledge of higher education policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
