Job Title: Field Crop Operations Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Crop Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our agricultural farm. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of our field crop production, including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for field crop production, including crop selection, planting, harvesting, and storage.
• Manage and lead a team of field workers, providing guidance and support to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor crop production and quality, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal yields.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery used in crop production.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop pricing strategies and identify new market opportunities.
• Prepare and manage budgets for field crop production, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in agricultural technology, implementing new strategies and techniques as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in field crop operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team.
• In-depth knowledge of crop production techniques, equipment, and technology.
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations in the agricultural industry.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
