Job Title: Donor Relations Specialist

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Donor Relations Specialist to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors, ensuring their continued engagement and support for our cause. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a passion for philanthropy and making a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship.
• Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns to engage donors and raise funds.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling messaging and materials to promote fundraising initiatives and impact stories.
• Manage donor database and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping of all donor interactions and contributions.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors by promptly responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns.
• Conduct research and analyze data to identify new potential donors and develop targeted outreach strategies.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure proper acknowledgement and recognition of donations and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of donor relations efforts with overall organizational goals.
• Assist in developing and monitoring fundraising budgets and financial reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successful donor acquisition and retention.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices, tax laws, and ethical standards.
