Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production department, including planning, organizing, and directing all production activities.
Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Implement and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and ensure timely delivery of products.
Train, mentor, and coach production staff to ensure high levels of productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure smooth production processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate production records and reports, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure that all production equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
Participate in budgeting and cost control initiatives to keep production costs within budget.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for new production methods and technologies.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, and promote a safe and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of chemical production processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve production targets.
Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office and production management software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
