Position: Sustainability Project Manager

Overview: As a Sustainability Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving sustainable initiatives and projects within our organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, programs, and policies that support our commitment to environmental, social, and economic sustainability. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work across multiple teams and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies, goals, and policies that align with the organization's overall objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and develop plans to reduce the organization's environmental impact, increase social responsibility, and improve economic sustainability.
• Monitor and report on the organization's sustainability performance, including tracking key metrics and providing regular updates to senior management.
• Lead and manage sustainability projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in sustainability, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, community partners, and government agencies, to support the organization's sustainability goals.
• Engage and educate employees on sustainability initiatives and promote a culture of sustainability throughout the organization.
• Identify and manage potential risks and issues that may impact sustainability projects and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards related to sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sustainability role, with at least 3 years in project management.
• Strong understanding of sustainability principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage budgets.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment and society.
