Job Title: Laundry Supervisor

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Laundry Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring that all laundry tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in a laundry setting and possess strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the laundry department, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and packaging of linens and garments.
• Train and supervise laundry staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laundry supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
• Ensure that all laundry tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner, meeting productivity and quality targets.
• Inspect linens and garments for stains, tears, and other damages, and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs or replacements.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry facility, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
• Develop and implement procedures and policies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the laundry department.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front office, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of linens and garments.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to laundry staff, identifying areas for improvement and providing training as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in laundry technology, and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in laundry operations is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a laundry setting.
• Strong knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures in a laundry setting.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads and stand for extended periods of time.
