Job Title: Water Treatment Plant Operator

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the operation of our water treatment plant. This is a critical role that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of water treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control the operation of the water treatment plant, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
• Conduct quality control tests on the water supply to ensure it meets all regulatory standards
• Monitor and adjust chemical treatment processes to ensure water is safe for consumption
• Keep detailed records of plant operations, water quality tests, and any maintenance performed
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following all safety protocols and procedures
• Train and supervise other plant operators as needed
• Communicate with other department personnel and outside agencies as necessary

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in water treatment plant operations
• Knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
• Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
