Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement production strategies to meet company goals and objectives.
Manage and monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
Coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
Oversee the production process to ensure high-quality steel products are being produced.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Train and mentor production staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to production team members.
Collaborate with the engineering team to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on production status and address any concerns.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel production, with at least 2 years in a management role.
Strong knowledge of steel production processes and equipment.
Proven track record of successfully managing a production team.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
Familiarity with quality control procedures.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and production software.
