Handmade Marketplace Specialist

This is a full-time position with standard office hours. However, some flexibility may be required to monitor sales and respond to customer inquiries outside of regular business hours. The Handmade Marketplace Specialist may also be required to travel occasionally for trade shows or marketplace events. Position: Handmade Marketplace Specialist

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Handmade Marketplace Specialist to join our team and oversee our presence on various handmade marketplaces. As a Handmade Marketplace Specialist, you will be responsible for managing our online sales and marketing efforts on platforms such as Etsy, Amazon Handmade, and Shopify. You will work closely with our marketing and sales teams to ensure that our handmade products are effectively promoted and sold on these platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the handmade marketplace landscape and is passionate about driving sales and growing our brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage our presence on various handmade marketplaces, including but not limited to Etsy, Amazon Handmade, and Shopify
• Create and maintain product listings, ensuring they are optimized for search and conversion
• Monitor and analyze sales data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional strategies for our handmade products
• Stay up-to-date with the latest marketplace trends and developments, and make recommendations for new selling opportunities
• Handle customer inquiries and issues related to our handmade products on the marketplaces
• Work with our production team to ensure inventory levels are maintained and orders are fulfilled in a timely manner
• Continuously monitor and improve product pricing and profit margins
• Track and report on sales performance and market trends to upper management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing online sales and marketing efforts on handmade marketplaces
• Proven track record of driving sales and growing a brand on handmade marketplaces
• Strong understanding of SEO and keyword optimization for product listings
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data to make informed decisions
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, preferably Etsy, Amazon Handmade, and Shopify
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Passion for the handmade industry and staying updated with the latest marketplace trends and developments
