Position: Medical Writer/Editor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Writer/Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific writing, with a focus on medical and healthcare topics. As a Medical Writer/Editor, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and reviewing a wide range of medical content, including research articles, clinical trial reports, drug monographs, and marketing materials. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and high-quality medical content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit medical content for various platforms, including print, digital, and multimedia.
• Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and scientific validity of all written materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical experts, marketers, and designers, to develop and deliver medical content that meets project objectives and timelines.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the medical field and incorporate relevant information into written materials.
• Ensure all written materials comply with regulatory and ethical guidelines.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and meeting strict deadlines.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide customized solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior writers to improve their writing skills and ensure consistency in writing style and quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably in medicine, pharmacy, or life sciences.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical writing/editing, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical trial design, and drug development process.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear and concise language.
• Familiarity with various style guides, such as AMA, APA, and Chicago.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with reference management software, such as EndNote or Mendeley, is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
