Position: Network Security Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a Network Security Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing, implementing, and maintaining the security of our company's network. You will work closely with our IT team to protect our network from cyber threats and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network security policies, procedures, and controls to protect our network from cyber threats
• Monitor network activity and perform regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks
• Investigate security breaches and provide timely response and resolution
• Collaborate with our IT team to implement security patches and updates on network devices and systems
• Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a security-conscious culture
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends and make recommendations for improving our network security posture
• Maintain and manage network security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for our network
• Conduct internal and external security audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Provide technical support to resolve network security issues and incidents
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support in case of emergencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, preferably in a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools
• Experience with network security technologies such as VPN, SSL, IPsec, and DNS security
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT
• Familiarity with network security compliance requirements and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and CCNA Security are a plus

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position based at our company headquarters. However, occasional travel may be required to our remote offices. The Network Security Specialist may be required to work outside of regular business hours to perform maintenance or respond to security incidents.
