About the Role: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Livestock Supervisor to join our team. As a Livestock Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our livestock farm. This is a hands-on role, where you will work closely with a team of farm workers to ensure the health and well-being of our livestock and the smooth running of the farm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the farm, including feeding, watering, and caring for livestock.
• Monitor the health and condition of livestock, and identify and address any health issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of livestock inventory, production, and other farm activities.
• Plan and implement breeding programs to ensure the continuous production of healthy and productive livestock.
• Train and supervise farm workers, providing guidance and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
• Oversee the maintenance of farm equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Manage the procurement of feed, medication, and other supplies needed for the farm.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and biosecurity protocols.
• Monitor and control farm expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and make recommendations for improvements to farm operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Livestock Supervisor or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of livestock farming techniques and practices.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adapt to changing weather conditions.
• Proficient in using farm equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of safety and biosecurity protocols.
• Good record-keeping and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
