Position: Transportation Equipment Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Transportation Equipment Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving transportation equipment to meet industry standards and customer requirements. Your expertise in manufacturing processes and techniques will be crucial in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality transportation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new designs for transportation equipment, taking into consideration cost, safety, and efficiency.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to optimize processes and reduce production costs.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of transportation equipment, including structural, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and test plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Work closely with suppliers to source and evaluate materials, components, and equipment needed for manufacturing transportation equipment.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the consistent production of high-quality transportation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues, working closely with the production team to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continuously improve manufacturing processes and equipment designs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation equipment manufacturing, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including welding, machining, and assembly.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as ISO and OSHA.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
