Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Science Professor. As a Data Science Professor, you will play a critical role in educating and training the next generation of data scientists. This is a tenure-track position, with an emphasis on teaching, research, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in data science, including but not limited to data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
• Design and implement innovative curriculum and teaching materials to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional development, including research projects and internships.
• Conduct and publish high-quality research in the field of data science, with a focus on relevant and timely topics.
• Participate in professional development activities and stay current with advancements in data science methodologies and technologies.
• Engage in service activities, such as serving on committees and participating in departmental and university events.

Qualifications:

• A PhD in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
• A strong record of teaching and research in data science, demonstrated through publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
• Experience with a variety of data science tools and programming languages, such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
