Position: Medical Device Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Device Engineer to join our team. As a Medical Device Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing medical devices, equipment, and technology to improve patient care and treatment outcomes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and healthcare professionals to bring innovative medical devices to market. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of medical devices from concept to commercialization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Conduct research and feasibility studies to identify new medical device opportunities and improve existing products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, specifications, and testing protocols
• Develop and execute design verification and validation activities, including risk management and usability studies
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings
• Perform engineering analyses and calculations to ensure product performance and safety
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in medical device technology, and incorporate new techniques and materials into product design
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including design control documents, reports, and regulatory submissions
• Conduct design and process reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality assurance teams, and assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source components and materials for production
• Participate in project planning and budgeting, and track progress against project timelines and milestones

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical device design and development
• Strong knowledge of medical device regulations, including FDA and ISO requirements
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, and experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
• Experience with design control processes, risk management, and usability engineering
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
