Job Title: Transportation Planner

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Planner to join our dynamic team. As a Transportation Planner, you will be responsible for developing and implementing transportation plans and strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our transportation systems. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, private companies, and community groups, to ensure the smooth and safe movement of people and goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis to identify transportation needs and challenges.
• Develop and implement transportation plans and strategies to address current and future needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and feedback on transportation projects and initiatives.
• Analyze data and use various modeling techniques to evaluate the impact of proposed transportation plans.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of transportation programs and recommend improvements.
• Advise on transportation policies and regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure transportation projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Identify and secure funding for transportation projects through grant applications, partnerships, and other means.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and transportation providers.
• Stay updated on industry developments, trends, and best practices to continuously improve transportation planning efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning, preferably in a government or consulting environment.
• Knowledge of transportation planning principles, methods, and techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Proficient in using transportation modeling software and GIS tools.
• Familiarity with local and federal transportation laws, regulations, and policies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering transportation projects on time and within budget.
