You will work closely with students to provide them with guidance, support, and resources to help them navigate their academic journey successfully. You will serve as a mentor, counselor, and advocate for our students, ensuring they have the best possible experience during their time at Everest Peak Polytechnic College.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic advising to a caseload of undergraduate and graduate students, including course selection, degree planning, and career exploration.
• Monitor students' academic progress and intervene when necessary to ensure they are on track to meet their goals.
• Assist students in creating personalized academic plans that align with their interests, strengths, and career aspirations.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure that students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed academically.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to assess their needs and address any academic or personal challenges they may be facing.
• Stay updated on academic policies, procedures, and requirements to provide accurate information and guidance to students.
• Develop and implement programs and workshops to support students' academic success and personal development.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of higher education systems and academic policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide students to achieve their academic and career goals.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for helping students succeed and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
