About the Role: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and driven Public Affairs and Communications Director to join our team. As the Public Affairs and Communications Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that will enhance our company's reputation and promote our brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic communication plans to promote our company's mission, vision, and objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, community leaders, and industry influencers.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company, handling media inquiries and interviews.
• Plan and execute public relations campaigns, events, and press conferences.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other communications materials.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain crisis communication plans and respond to any potential crises in a timely and effective manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in messaging across all communication channels.
• Manage a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging communication trends and technologies, and make recommendations for their implementation.
• Manage the company's social media presence and engage with followers to build brand awareness and promote our products/services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in public affairs, communications, or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies.
• Strong media relations experience and ability to handle media inquiries and interviews.
• Experience with crisis communication and issues management.
• In-depth knowledge of traditional and digital media platforms and their impact on public perception.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of the political landscape and experience in government relations is a plus.
