Job Title: Credit and Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Credit and Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Credit and Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our company. You will be responsible for managing our credit and collections processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain customer credit accounts to ensure timely payment and minimize risk
• Review credit applications and perform credit checks to determine creditworthiness of new and existing customers
• Evaluate and analyze customer financial statements and credit reports to make informed credit decisions
• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to mitigate risk and improve collection efforts
• Contact customers to collect outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with delinquent accounts to minimize losses
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit and collection activities
• Work closely with the sales team to resolve any customer credit or billing issues
• Collaborate with other departments to improve overall credit and collection processes
• Prepare reports and provide regular updates on credit and collection metrics to management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit and collections, preferably in a B2B environment
• Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statements, and credit risk assessment
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software
• Knowledge of collection laws and regulations
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
