Position: Delivery Driver
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicle to make deliveries to designated locations
- Follow designated routes and delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Load and unload delivery vehicle with packages, ensuring proper handling and securement of items
- Verify delivery orders and ensure correct items and quantities are loaded onto vehicle
- Communicate with dispatch team and customers to provide updates on delivery status and any delays
- Collect cash or payments from customers and return to designated location
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns to management
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing safety at all times
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving any issues or complaints in a professional manner
- Report any discrepancies or missing items to management immediately
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including proper handling and disposal of goods
- Continuously strive to improve delivery processes and efficiency
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a delivery driver
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs and other obstacles
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with using GPS and navigation systems
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Experience driving a delivery van or truck preferred
