Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locomotive Production Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Locomotive Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process of locomotives from start to finish. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and efficient production of high-quality locomotives that meet our company's standards and exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet production targets while maintaining the highest level of quality
• Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment needed for locomotive production
• Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, design, and supply chain, to ensure a smooth and seamless production process
• Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors and workers, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize their potential and productivity
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees
• Monitor and control production costs to ensure they are within budget and identify areas for cost-saving measures
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all locomotives meet company standards and customer requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in locomotive production processes to continuously improve our production methods and techniques

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in locomotive production management or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management
• Proven experience in managing a team and driving results
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
