Job Description: NatureLife Agriculture is seeking an experienced Farm Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our farm. As a leader in the agriculture industry, we are dedicated to producing high-quality crops and providing exceptional service to our customers. The Farm Operations Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our farm by managing all aspects of operations, from planning and production to maintenance and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the farm, setting goals and objectives that align with the company's vision and mission
• Manage the farm's budget, monitor expenses, and make cost-effective decisions to maximize profitability
• Plan and coordinate crop production, including planting schedules, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control
• Monitor crop yields, quality, and overall health, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results
• Supervise a team of farm workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
• Oversee the maintenance of farm equipment and facilities, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition and that repairs are completed in a timely manner
• Manage inventory and purchasing of necessary materials, such as seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to support the farm's operations
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve farm operations
• Prepare reports and presentations for management, providing updates on farm performance and highlighting areas for improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management, with a proven track record of success
• Strong understanding of crop production, irrigation systems, and pest management
• Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial analysis
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to farming operations
• Proficient in the use of farm equipment and technology, including GPS and precision agriculture systems
• Ability to work long hours and be on-call as needed, especially during peak seasons
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
