Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research and analysis of construction materials to determine their properties, capabilities, and limitations
Develop and implement testing procedures to evaluate the performance of construction materials in various conditions
Analyze test results and provide recommendations for the selection of appropriate materials for different construction projects
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the use of suitable materials in the design and construction process
Monitor the quality and consistency of construction materials used in ongoing projects
Identify and resolve any material-related issues that may arise during the construction process
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, new materials, and emerging technologies to improve construction processes and materials used
Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with material specifications and standards
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of material testing and analysis results
Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on material testing and analysis techniques
Comply with all safety regulations and procedures while conducting material testing and analysis

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
Extensive knowledge of construction materials, their properties, and testing methods
Proficiency in using material testing equipment and software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Attention to detail and accuracy
Willingness to travel to construction sites for material testing and inspections
Professional Engineer license is a plus
