Network Technician

This position is based in our office and may require occasional travel to other company locations. The Network Technician may also be required to work outside of regular business hours for network maintenance and upgrades.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our company's network infrastructure. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our network systems run smoothly and efficiently to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Conduct periodic network maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal network performance.
• Collaborate with network engineers and other team members to design and implement new network solutions.
• Perform network security audits and implement necessary security measures to safeguard company data.
• Manage and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues.
• Work closely with vendors to resolve any network-related service outages or hardware failures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network performance and security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Hands-on experience with network equipment from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
• Proven experience in network infrastructure design and implementation.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
