Position: Data Modeler

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Modeler to join our dynamic team. As a Data Modeler, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data models for our organization. This is a crucial role in helping us effectively manage and utilize our data to drive business decisions and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into data models
• Analyze and evaluate existing data models and make recommendations for improvements
• Define and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Conduct data mapping and data lineage to ensure data consistency across applications and systems
• Perform data validation and quality checks to identify and address any data discrepancies or issues
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries and data flow diagrams to document data models and processes
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data modeling techniques and tools to continuously improve our data management practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Modeler or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling principles, methodologies, and tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or PowerDesigner
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts
• Proficiency in SQL and data querying for data analysis and validation
• Experience with data governance and data management practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with excellent communication skills
