Position: Energy Management Specialist

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Energy Management Specialist to join our team. As an Energy Management Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing and implementing energy management programs for our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability practices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for reducing energy consumption and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and potential cost savings
• Develop and implement energy management plans and strategies for our organization
• Monitor and track energy consumption, costs, and performance of energy management initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement energy efficiency measures
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to energy management
• Conduct research and analysis to identify potential renewable energy sources and opportunities for our organization
• Manage relationships with energy service providers and vendors
• Prepare and present reports and presentations on energy management initiatives and progress to senior management and stakeholders
• Identify and secure funding opportunities for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects
• Develop and deliver training programs to increase awareness and promote energy conservation practices among employees
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to energy management activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy management, energy efficiency, or a related field
• Strong understanding of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability practices
• Experience conducting energy audits and assessments
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of energy regulations and funding opportunities is an asset
• Professional certifications in energy management (e.g. CEM, CEA) is a plus
