Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Museum Curator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history, art, and culture, and possess excellent organizational and leadership skills. As the Museum Curator, you will be responsible for managing the museum's collection, creating and curating exhibitions, and overseeing the daily operations of the museum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the museum's collection, including cataloging, preserving, and acquiring new artifacts
• Develop and implement exhibition plans that align with the museum's mission and objectives
• Collaborate with other team members to create engaging and educational exhibitions
• Conduct research on artifacts and historical events to enhance the museum's collection and exhibitions
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of exhibitions
• Participate in the planning and execution of special events and programs
• Manage the museum's budget and ensure all expenditures are within budget limitations
• Supervise and train museum staff and volunteers
• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
• Stay updated on current trends and best practices in the museum industry
• Ensure the museum's compliance with all relevant regulations and laws

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in history, art history, museum studies, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in museum curation or related field
• Proven experience in managing a museum collection and creating exhibitions
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency in museum software and databases
• Knowledge of conservation and preservation techniques
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
