Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement an annual orchard plan, including planting, pruning, harvesting, and pest control strategies
Manage and maintain the health and productivity of the orchard, including monitoring irrigation, fertilization, and disease control
Supervise a team of agricultural workers, including hiring, training, and scheduling
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Monitor and control costs to maintain budget requirements
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to coordinate harvest and distribution of produce
Conduct regular inspections of the orchard to identify potential issues and implement solutions
Keep accurate records of orchard activities, including yields, expenses, and labor hours
Stay current on industry trends and best practices in orchard management
Perform other duties as assigned by upper management

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in orchard management
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team
Knowledge of orchard management techniques, including planting, pruning, and pest control
Familiarity with irrigation and fertilization systems
Understanding of safety regulations and practices in agriculture
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Proficient in MS Office and record-keeping software
