Position: Academic Dean

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Academic Dean to join our institution's leadership team. As the Academic Dean, you will be responsible for overseeing all academic programs and ensuring the highest quality of education for our students. You will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance the academic experience. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement academic policies and procedures in accordance with the institution's mission and vision
• Oversee the curriculum development process, ensuring that it aligns with industry standards and meets the needs of students
• Work closely with faculty to review and update course materials, instructional methods, and assessment strategies
• Lead the recruitment, evaluation, and professional development of faculty members
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integration of academic programs with co-curricular activities and student services
• Provide guidance and support to faculty in matters related to student academic performance and conduct
• Monitor and analyze academic data to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate interventions
• Develop and manage the academic budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective delivery of programs
• Represent the institution at academic conferences and events to promote our programs and build partnerships with other institutions
• Serve as a liaison between the institution and external accrediting bodies, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards
• Participate in strategic planning and provide input on the development of new academic programs and initiatives
• Foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and academic excellence among students, faculty, and staff

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a relevant field, preferably a PhD or EdD
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in academic leadership roles, with a proven track record of success
• Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in higher education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and faculty evaluation and development
• Proven ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve academic programs
• Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Passion for education and commitment to academic excellence
