Job Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Freight Handler to join our team. As a Freight Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients. You will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the handling process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and organize incoming freight shipments
• Verify shipment details and ensure accuracy in labeling and documentation
• Safely load and unload freight onto trucks, trailers, or containers
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and stack freight
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient handling of freight
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling freight
• Report any damaged or missing freight to the appropriate departments
• Assist in inventory control and stock management processes
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
• Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
• Familiarity with forklift operation and certification is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory management systems
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
