Position: Data Visualization Technician

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Visualization Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and informative data displays that help our company interpret and analyze complex data sets. You will work closely with our data analysts and scientists to understand their needs and create compelling visualizations that effectively communicate key insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data requirements and objectives
• Design and implement data visualizations using various tools and techniques, such as charts, graphs, maps, and dashboards
• Develop interactive data displays that engage and inform internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data visualizations by conducting thorough quality checks
• Use your creativity and expertise to present data in innovative and meaningful ways
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing data visualizations and make improvements as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data visualization tools and techniques and recommend new technologies to improve our visualizations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and incorporate feedback into data visualizations
• Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Document and maintain all data visualization processes and procedures for future reference

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field
• Proven experience in data visualization, preferably in a corporate or business setting
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
• Strong understanding of data analysis and visualization principles
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in data
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative data displays
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Solid understanding of data manipulation and cleansing techniques
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R is a plus
• Experience with data management and data warehousing is a plus
