Position: Marine Operations Manager

Overview: As a Marine Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of marine operations within our organization. This includes coordinating and supervising the activities of our marine staff, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vessels, and maintaining compliance with all maritime regulations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of our marine operations, while also working closely with other departments to achieve our overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the marine operations department, in alignment with the company's objectives and goals
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of all vessels, including scheduling, maintenance, and crew management
• Monitor and maintain vessel performance, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proper maintenance and repair of vessels, and manage any necessary upgrades or modifications
• Manage and supervise all marine staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of services and supplies
• Monitor and control departmental budget, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing cost-effective measures
• Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations, including safety, environmental, and security standards
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for all marine operations
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance of marine operations, identifying any issues and proposing solutions
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of marine operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements
• Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Sound financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and cost control
• Proficient in using computer systems and software related to marine operations
• Willingness to work irregular hours and travel as required
