Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with subject area teachers to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that is aligned with state and national standards.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of curriculum materials, incorporating new research and best practices in education.
Develop and maintain a curriculum calendar to ensure that all subject areas are covered within the designated time frame.
Work with administrators to create and implement a professional development plan for teachers to enhance their instructional skills and knowledge of the curriculum.
Assist in the selection and evaluation of instructional materials and resources.
Coordinate and facilitate curriculum meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and involved in the decision-making process.
Monitor and assess student achievement data to inform curriculum decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement assessment strategies that align with the curriculum and provide meaningful data on student progress.
Serve as a liaison between the organization and external agencies, such as state education departments, to ensure compliance with curriculum requirements.
Stay current with educational trends and research to inform curriculum development and implementation.
Provide support and guidance to teachers in the implementation of the curriculum, including modeling best instructional practices.
Work with special education teachers to ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of students with diverse learning requirements.
Communicate regularly with parents and families regarding the curriculum and student progress.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in curriculum development and implementation.
Knowledge of state and national curriculum standards.
Experience with curriculum mapping and assessment strategies.
Strong instructional background and understanding of best practices in teaching and learning.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into curriculum design.
Understanding of diversity and inclusion in curriculum development.
Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing educational needs and trends.
